LIFE ISN’T ABOUT WAITING FOR THE STORM TO PASS… IT’S ABOUT LEARNING TO DANCE IN THE RAIN

Although positive thinking seems to be a common trend, it has as many supporters as opponents. Today we have a closer look at what is and what is NOT positive thinking.

When talking about positive thinking, many times comes to mind an idea of being a super happy person, escaping from problems and difficulties, living life in a different reality, in a fantasy world …

Many people believe that positive thinking is a self-delusion and that it doesn’t work because it really doesn’t solve problems, even being the most positive one. Well, they may be right on the second: repeating motivational phrases daily it’s not going to change your life, unless you do something to change things.

Problems are not solved by ignoring them, thinking they will be fixed sooner or later or that someone else will take care of it. We have to face difficulties, and these happen to all of us in life, but each of us is responsible for dealing with its own. Positive thinking does help and contributes to have a better attitude and willingness when confronting problem or difficulties, but taking action is mandatory.

Being positive doesn’t mean that you are always happy and everything goes well in your life, it means to choose a smile instead of anger or sadness to better cope with tough aspects of life. Life is hard enough so as to make things more complicated or worsen it with our “victim” approach. If we just do the opposite, our burden won’t be less heavy but carrying it will be easier.
